Lightweight, rust-free build
One of the best attributes of the ARIES Switchback™ headache rack is its aluminum construction. Aluminum offers the perfect balance, being both strong and lightweight. It is also entirely rust-resistant.
With its aluminum alloy construction, the Switchback™ offers extra cab protection, while helping to maintain your truck's modern fuel-efficiency and remaining completely impervious to the elements. To ensure its durability through every season, the Switchback™ is also shielded in a tough carbide black powder coat finish.
An aggressive, patent-pending design sets the Switchback™ headache rack apart from most others, but its customization options truly make it a unique accessory.
The top edge of the Switchback™ is completely covered with a slotted channel. This channel allows LED light bars and work lights to be mounted and adjusted to your exact specifications. The Switchback™ can also accept various combinations of lights. We recommend three of our 10" single-row LED light bars #1501260.
The center mesh sections of the headache rack can also be used for mounting LED lights, using the ARIES light mounting brackets #1110311. These brackets are perfect for adding extra, rear-facing work lights to light up the truck bed.
Easy, patent-pending installation system
The Switchback™ headache rack by ARIES is also unique in its installation method. It uses our patent-pending stake pocket mounting system that completely eliminates drilling from the install process. To install the Switchback™, simply drop the anchors into the stake pockets and tighten one bolt on either side. It's that easy!
The Switchback™ also features a three-piece assembly, making it cheaper and easier to ship than standard headache racks. The three-piece design also allows you to install the headache rack without the center mesh section, leaving the rear cab window exposed for convenient access.
